Crap! I'm Broke: Out of Pocket - Privacy Policy

Good news, this isn’t an enormous document you have to read through. This privacy policy is straight forward due to only a couple of privacy related aspects. Hooray!

By using our software you agree to the following being in effect:

“Crap! I’m Broke: Out of Pocket” makes use of “Save Data” in order to store your game progress. This means the game will store a file on your device that will be read and altered in order to save and load your game. Only data that pertains to the game’s progress is stored within this file, so no personal data, device data or any other data that does not pertain to “Crap! I’m Broke: Out of Pocket” is stored. This aforementioned save data is NOT being analysed and NOT being shared by Arcane Circus or any third parties. “Crap! I’m Broke: Out of Pocket” operates on Adobe AIR technology which transmits non-personally identifying information (i.e. device type, Adobe AIR version) to Adobe only when you install / activate the game and when it checks for updates.

To summarize, the software contains the following aspects as taken from Adobe’s privacy policies:

  1. SAVE DATA: Adobe AIR in combination with Flash makes use of a “Local Shared Object”. It will store certain information on your Device in a local data file known as a local shared object. To find more information on local shared objects and learn how to limit or control the storage of local shared objects on your Device, please visit https://settings.adobe.com/flashplayer/mobile.
  2. INSTALLING & UPDATING: If your Device is connected to the Internet, the Software (in this case the Adobe AIR technology as part of the game “Crap! I’m Broke: Out of Pocket”) may, without additional notice, check for Updates, including Updates optimized for a particular Device, that are available for automatic download and installation to your Device and let Adobe know the Software is successfully installed. Only non-personally identifying information is transmitted to Adobe when this happens, except to the extent that IP Addresses may be considered personally identifiable in some jurisdictions. The use of such information, including your IP Address, as provided by the auto update process is governed by the Adobe Online Privacy Policy. When you activate your Adobe app or when you install updates to the app, Adobe collects information about:
    • your device (manufacturer, model, IP address);
    • the Adobe app (version, date of activation, successful and unsuccessful updates);
    • your product serial number (where this is required before you can start using your product).
